James Milo is the Founder and Chief Education Officer of KnowledgePassion, Inc. He is also a Fellow of the World Business Academy and a former member of the Board of Governors of the International Association of Coaches. Milo's research and consulting focus on design thinking, human motivation, and organizational transformation. He highlights the power of language in thought and action for innovation and creativity at work.


For more than 30 years, his acclaimed executive programs on transformative learning and creating breakthrough have been presented in Australia, Norway, England, Scotland, The Netherlands and throughout the United States.

Milo's management experience was gained as Vice President for Research and Development at TeleLearning, Inc. where he helped architect and launch the world's first Electronic University Network. He subsequently served as Vice President of Market Research at Rowen Communications and as Executive Vice President at Creative Directions, Inc.


Milo founded and served as the Academic Director of the annual Stanford Leadership Academy (1996-98) as well as being a core faculty member of Stanford's Program on Managing Innovation. As a Lecturer and Adjunct Professor for more than 20 years at Stanford University, he taught courses on Coaching for Breakthrough and Creative Thinking in the Center for Teaching and Learning, New Directions in Innovative Problem Solving in the Department of Psychology and The Language of Leadership and Emotional Intelligence for Corporate Success in the Continuing Studies Program. The Stanford Instructional Television Network has broadcast his executive courses: Creating a Learning OrganizationBreakthrough Learning and Leading with Emotional Intelligence.


Born and raised in Australia, he graduated with First Class Honors in Psychology from the University of Melbourne and was awarded a full scholarship to pursue graduate work at Stanford University where he earned an M.A. in Interactive Educational Technology and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Social Psychology. His research and practice of "Charismatic Teaching" have been recognized by a graduate teaching award from the American Psychological Association.
